Advanced Placement Biology aims to provide students with the conceptual framework, factual knowledge, and analytical skills necessary to deal critically with the rapidly changing science of biology. Topics that will be studied include molecules and cells, heredity and evolution including molecular genetics, and organsims and populations which includes the diversity of organisms, the stucture and function of plants and animals, and ecology.

This course is concerned with the study of life. Various topics that will be examined throughout the year are as follows: organsims and ecology, evolution and Mendelian genetics, diversity and unity of life, molecules that make up life, plant and animal systems, and human anatomy
