AP Chemistry is a second year course in Chemistry for committed, motivated, academically mature honors level science students. It is designed to be equivalent to the first year of college general chemistry and follows the College Board’s AP Chemistry Syllabus. Advanced Placement (AP) Chemistry is a college level course with a laboratory component. Students are expected to be motivated and spend extra time studying outside of class.
Chemistry is a laboratory science course to familiarize the student with the study of elements, compounds, mixtures, and reactions. The course is structured to combine lecture, demonstration, and student laboratory exercises.
